Recently, my skin has been feeling incredibly dehydrated, especially on my cheeks and forehead. I’m not sure if it due to the change in seasons or if my skin has got used to my current skincare routine. Either way, I decided it was time to switch up my products and try to get my skin behaving again! After a lot of reading reviews and swatching in stores, I decided to go for Cliniques Moisture Surge.
The adviser on the Clinique counter at my local Boots store could not have been more helpful. She took the time to talk through my major concerns with my skin and what I wanted from a moisturiser. I swatched both the Moisture Surge Intense and the original Moisture Surge formula and loved them both. They both felt incredibly hydrating which I would say is down to its gel-like formula. The intense formula definitely felt more rich on the skin but didn’t take long to sink in at all.
After much deliberation I decided on the original formula for £34 as I know I’ll be using this every day and want my make up to sit well on top of it. It’s a gel like formula which is really smooth on the skin when applied.
So far I have been really happy with the results. After the first use my skin felt really hydrated and plump. It didn’t take long to sink in at all – maybe down to my dehydrated skin screaming out for hydration! For someone who was never a fan of other Clinique products they’ve tried, I can safely say this is starting to change my mind!
Let me know if you have any other recommendations for dehydrated skin!
